Excited
Its Wednesday already. I was so excited to meet my hubby this Friday night. The last time we met was during Raya time last 3 weeks. Feels like a zillion years though we call each other at least 3 times a day.
Talking about raya, this is my first year celebrating hari raya with my hubby and it was really an interesting experience. The culture in Kelantan is quite different from my family as the did not make rendang, kuah kacang and lontong. During raya eve, we ( me and my hubby of course!) together with my brother and sister in laws make sate for the first raya.. I am so excited and enjoying the moments with them. My hubby family called me with a different names from my friends and family. The name is quite glamourous- Abby. I dont really like it but have to accept it as easier to pronounce it compared to my own Arbae'yah with 'ain ' in the middle. The funny thing is, my niece and nephew called my hubby 'pok su' but i was called 'kak abby'. It had been 1000 times struggling to change that but failed.
Sad? Who are not sad when first time celebrating raya without your own family? However, my in-laws really makes me feel at home. Mak? She celebrated her first raya in 5 years with her own father in Melaka as this is the first raya after my father passed away. However, we had spend 5 fasting days in Perak with my mom and siblings before we went back to Kelantan and they went to Melaka.
During 1st raya, i had a strong headache after solat aidil fitri and we did not go to visit relatives that morning. Furthermore, we had lots of visitor in the house. I had the apportunity to eat ketupat manis (ketupat palas with nuts inside). Its nice and i eat lots and lots of it.. However, in the evening when my head seems better we went to his best friends house nearby, Diana. This sweet young lady had been my hubby best friend since standard 1. A cheerful and happy go lucky.
On the second day, we went back to his village to visit ummi elder sister and brother. Pity my darling hubby who had a serious stomach ache that day. As the ache got worse, i persuade him to go to the clinic. Interesting part is, the doctor who treated him is actually my classmate's elder brother. What a small world!! He got married with a Kelantanese lady and decided to open his clinic there.
On the third day, we went to my colleague's house in Kota Bharu. However, as my hubby's cousin are having an open house, we went home after 'asar to attend the open house. I got to taste laksa kelantan there! Very nice as i put lots and lots of sambal in my laksa..heheheh.. Our target to went to all our friends house for this Hari Raya was continued on the 4th day.
On the 5th day, as we are going back to Kl the next day, we decided to spent our time with ayoh and ummi. Early in the morning, we make our move as my hubby flight was schedule to be at 9pm. Luckily we arrived on time.
And that is the only time we spend together. 10 days of Ramadhan plus Hari Raya. Phew.. feels like flying with him that night and thinking of when i will be transfered too to Kota Kinabalu...
It had been 2 weeks since then for me to spend my weekend without him and the after next day i will have the apportunity to meet him again. What a relieve when he said to me " OK sayang, minggu ni u datang lah sini jumpa i.. i dont have to go to offshore or miri". The greenlight i had been waiting had finally came to me last monday..
Holla darling, here i am flying to you!!
